She really enjoyed it they do lots of fun games and activities as well as playing a basketball game. She now wants to play for the team. Coaches are very welcoming and friendly and it's great for the girls to have friends outside of school.

All players are welcomed and they have an extensive range of groups covering all age ranges and abilities. But the biggest upside for me personally has been the tremendous welcome my daughter has received. There is a real passion within the club for encouraging female team sports and it is so refreshing to see. I'm proud to be on the journey with them and long may the great work continue.

About Us

Swadlincote Lasers Basketball Club Is a brand new grassroots club. We are looking to find and feature junior players in Swadlincote, Burton on Trent and surrounding areas at our club. Our aim is to coach them on the ins-and-outs of the sport to perfect their basketball skills. We are proud to teach not only the love of the game, but to also impart the ideals of good sportsmanship, teamwork and loyalty.

We also offer senior mens and womens competitive basketball sessions. All ages and abilities welcome, so if you would like to come and play please get in touch or book through our online booking system.

Training / Match Days

Swad Lasers is based at Greenbank leisure Centre in the middle of Swadlincote. Our training sessions run throughout the week. Please contact us to check availability.

Monday: 5pm – 9pm

Wednesday: 5pm – 7pm

Saturday – 2pm – 6pm

Sunday (Seniors) – 4pm – 6pm

Away fixtures vary depending on location.

Competitive Games

We are proud to have joined the Youth Basketball League (YBL) offering competitive play to children aged 7-19. For the 2023/24 season we are entering a total of 6 teams into the league including U11’s, U13’s, U15’s and U17’s.
